This page is the agreement between you and Lovgren Consulting Group when you use fourmoves.ai or the software we run for clients. It is the plain-language version of what most companies bury in twelve pages of capital letters. Software vendors we connect to, such as Intuit and Plaid, call a page like this an End User License Agreement; this is ours. Effective September 30, 2026.
Who this is between
Lovgren Consulting Group, LLC is a Wisconsin company. I'm Eric Lovgren, Managing Partner. "We" means the company; "you" means the person or business reading this. If you have a signed engagement agreement or statement of work with us, that document governs your engagement, and where it says something different from this page, it wins.
Using the website
You're welcome to read, link to, and share anything on fourmoves.ai. The writing, graphics, and design are ours; please don't copy pages wholesale or present them as your own. The site is offered as is. We work to keep it accurate, but it is a set of opinions and possibilities, not advice tailored to your situation, and a decision you make based on it is yours.
The bookkeeping service
For clients, we run software that reads business bank activity, applies categorization rules the client has approved, and records the results in the client's accounting system, along with checks and reports on those books. This section is about that software.
During an engagement, you have a license to use the service for the business named in your agreement. We own the service itself: the code, the rules engine, and the way it works. You own everything it produces for you: your categorization rules, your accounting records, your reports, and the run history of what it did in your books. When the engagement ends, the records stay with you, in your own systems, and the license ends.
The service records transactions according to rules you approve. It does not decide how your business should be taxed, whether an expense is deductible, or how to structure your finances. Those are questions for you and your accountant or tax adviser, and nothing the service does, or that we say while setting it up, is legal, tax, or investment advice. When a transaction doesn't fit a rule, the service sets it aside and flags it rather than guessing, and reviewing those flags is part of your side of the arrangement.
The service never moves money. It reads bank activity and writes accounting entries; it cannot initiate a payment, a transfer, or a withdrawal from any account.
Connections you authorize
The service works through connections you set up: a bank connection through Plaid, and a connection to your accounting system, such as QuickBooks Online. You sign in at the bank on the bank's own screen, and you authorize the accounting connection inside your own accounting account; we never hold your usernames or passwords. Those providers have their own terms, which apply to your use of their products, and by connecting them you are agreeing to Plaid's End User Services Agreement and to Intuit's terms for your QuickBooks account. You can remove either connection at any time, by telling us or directly through the provider, and the service stops reading that source as soon as you do.
You confirm that you have the authority to connect the accounts you connect, and that they belong to the business we're keeping books for.
What we ask of you
Keep your rules current and tell us when the business changes: a new bank account, a new kind of income, a new payroll provider. Review the flags and the monthly brief the service sends you. Keep the credentials to your own systems safe, and let us know right away if you think something has been compromised. Use the service only for the business it was set up for, and don't try to use it to reach data that isn't yours.
Your data
What we collect, what we do with it, who processes it, and how to have it deleted are all in our Privacy Policy, which is part of this agreement. In short: your financial data is used for one purpose, keeping your books; it goes only to the services that do that work; we never sell it or use it for advertising; and when an engagement ends we delete the bank data we hold within 90 days.
What we promise, and what we can't
We promise to run the service carefully, to keep your data as described in the Privacy Policy, and to fix our mistakes when we make them. Bookkeeping is a process with a person in it, and this service is designed so that a person reviews what it flags. We don't promise that the service will never miscategorize a transaction, that it will always be available, or that a bank or accounting provider won't change something that interrupts it. We aren't responsible for the accuracy of the bank data those providers deliver, for decisions you make based on your books, or for tax outcomes.
To the extent the law allows, our total liability to you for anything arising from the service or this website is limited to the fees you paid us for the service in the twelve months before the claim, and neither of us is liable to the other for indirect or consequential losses such as lost profits. Nothing here limits liability that the law says can't be limited.
Ending things
You can stop using the website any time, and you can end a bookkeeping engagement as your agreement describes, or by telling us if it doesn't say. We can suspend the service if it's being used against these terms or in a way that puts other clients' data at risk, and we'll tell you why. When an engagement ends, the connections are removed, your records stay in your systems, and the data we hold is deleted as the Privacy Policy describes.
The legal part
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Wisconsin. If we have a dispute, we'll talk first; if that fails, it will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Wisconsin. If a court finds any part of this page unenforceable, the rest still stands. This page and your engagement agreement, if you have one, are the whole agreement between us about the website and the service.
Changes
If these terms change, the new version is posted here with a new effective date. For changes that matter to clients, we tell them directly before the change takes effect, and continuing to use the service after that is acceptance of the new terms.
Anything unclear?
If anything on this page raises a question, email me at eric@lovgrengroup.com and you'll get an answer from me, not a form letter.
